Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) November 16, 2008 — T-Gone Tinnitus Remedies today published the results of what could be the most significant tinnitus survey since the 1980′s.

The survey, which was completed by over 1,700 tinnitus patients, was aimed at discovering the major cause of hearing loss and tinnitus. It was also aimed at discovering the exact tinnitus noises and sounds experienced by thousands of tinnitus patients. The severity and frequency of the noises was also explored.

“The survey proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that exposure to noise is indeed the predominant cause of hearing loss and tinnitus,” remarked John Currie, president and CEO of T-Gone Tinnitus Remedies.

In fact, over 60% of the respondents indicated that exposure to noise or situations that lead to cochlear damage, which causes hearing loss and tinnitus, was the cause of their problem.

“It is our hope that educators, schools and colleges throughout the world will take note of this survey. The idea is to educate the youth about the dangers of exposure to loud noises,” said John.

With the prevalence of MP3 players such as the Apple iPod, and virtually every modern cell phone also being an MP3 and or a video player, more and more young people are suffering from hearing loss and tinnitus at an early age.

This can easily be prevented by educating the youth. After all, if they know of the dangers, many would choose to play these devices and lower volumes if they were aware of the dangers. Most young people have never even heard of tinnitus and most kids will associate hearing loss with their grandparents.

“There are so many studies have shown that over 75% of regular attendees at clubs and pubs where loud music is played are at risk of permanent hearing damage,” said John. “The problem is that the very people at risk are the ones who are ignorant of the dangers!”

The results of the survey which educators and parents are asked to link to, or at the very least, to print out and discuss with their classes can be accessed here http://www.t-gone.com/tinnitus-survey/survey-september2008.html

The tinnitus survey is permanently open and anyone is free to participate.

Tinnitus home remedies and natural cures Tinnitus”

Jul 8th, 2010 Posted in Tinnitus Remedies | 4 comments »

HealAll.info Tinnitus can be perceived in one or both ears or in the head. It is usually described as a ringing noise, but in some patients it takes the form of a high pitched whining, buzzing, hissing, humming, or whistling sound, or as ticking, clicking, roaring, “crickets” or “tree frogs” or “locusts”, tunes, songs, or beeping. It has also been described as a “whooshing” sound, as of wind or waves. Tinnitus can be intermmittent or it can be continuous. In the latter case, this “phantom” sound can create great distress in the sufferer. Tinnitus is not itself a disease but a symptom resulting from a range of underlying causes. Causes include ear infections, foreign objects or wax in the ear, nose allergies that prevent (or induce) fluid drain and cause wax build-up, and injury from loud noises. Tinnitus is also a side-effect of some oral medications, such as aspirin, and may also result from an abnormally low level of serotonin activity. In many cases, however, no underlying physical cause can be identified. The sound perceived may range from a quiet background noise to one that can be heard even over loud external sounds. The term “tinnitus” usually refers to more severe cases. Heller and Bergman (1953) conducted a study of 80 tinnitus-free university students placed in an anechoic chamber and found that 93% reported hearing a buzzing, pulsing or whistling sound. Cohort studies have demonstrated that damage to hearing (among other health effects) from unnatural levels

www.megavista-health.com Tinnitus is a condition whereby a constant sound is heard in one or both ears and seems to come from the middle of the head and not an external source from outside the body. Therefore it is only the person with the condition that can hear this sound. Sounds of tinnitus usually include a repetitive buzzing, ringing, hissing or whistling noise. Pulsatile tinnitus is a specific form of tinnitus that involves pulsating sounds in the ears, often in tune with a heartbeat. Pulsatile tinnitus is often related to disturbances with the blood flow, and can be heard as whooshing or thumping sounds. www.megavista-health.com It is often common to experience a temporary form of tinnitus after you have been to a loud music concert for example, or following a cold or mild head injury. However some people may then suffer with the condition on a more permanent basis as the sounds of tinnitus inside the head fail to subside. Tinnitus is more common amongst older people but can still affect you at any age including young children. It tends to worsen when your external surroundings are quieter such as when you are trying to sleep and the sounds of tinnitus in the head become more obvious and severe. This can then lead to insomnia. You may also suffer more when you are tired as the noises will likely decrease your concentration levels. Therefore the condition can ultimately become extremely difficult to live with and can cause anxiety and even depression if you suffer
