Intestinal Yeast Infection

Yeast infections are common in people where they occur in women, men and babies. Often people think that a yeast infection will only occur in the genital area of people such as the vagina and penis but they are wrong. Yeast infections occur in the mouth, on the skin and even in the INTESTINE!

A yeast infection in the intestine is caused when yeast is in excess and an imbalance of the enzyme Candida Albicans is present. Several factors such as stress, antibiotics, poor diet and a low immune system can cause a yeast infection. When there is too much yeast in the intestines it means that the healthy bacteria and enzymes that are present in the intestinal walls is lacking. Therefore the food that is being eaten and digested is having a hard time being absorbed and delivering nutrients into the bloodstream. This will then cause malnutrition, fatigue and diarrhea in the person suffering from the yeast infection.
