Skin Yeast Infection

Candidiasis is a very common type of skin yeast infection. This skin rash occurs when the fungi living in your skin is out of balance. Yeast infections of the skin will occur mainly in the moist areas of the body such as under the breasts, in the groin area, in the underarms and under skin folds of people who are obese. The skin is often effective in keeping the yeast in the skin balances but any lesions in the skin may allow this organism to penetrate.
What does a yeast infection of the skin really look like? The affected area will look like a rash which will be red and itchy. There may be scabs on the outside of the rash that will be full of pus. Read the rest of this entry »
